Chianti La Pieve DOCG is mainly composed of Sangiovese, whose tannins give the wine an excellent structure. In addition, canaiolo, ciliegiolo and colorino are present, respecting the tradition and regulations of Chianti.

Type of Land
Soil of sedimentary origin composed of marly calcareous clays. Among the prevalent types we find Chianti alberese, sandstone, clay, and other schists such as galestro.
Vinification, Maturation, Evolution and Refinement
The grapes are harvested strictly by hand and are taken to the cellar and destemmed. This is followed by maceration on the skins for approximately 3 weeks. The vinification takes place in vitrified concrete tanks, the wine then ages in the bottle for at least 12 months before being sold.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Intense ruby red
Perfume : Direct, with clearly recognizable fruits, cherry and blackberry, with barely hinted notes of undergrowth.
Taste : The taste reveals a juicy, calibrated, lively body, inviting to drink, with a pleasantly clean finish.
Alcohol content
14.0% vol.
Gastronomic pairings
It goes particularly well with starters of cured meats and cheeses, pasta with sauces, roasted meat, dishes and pizzas prepared with tasty sauces and condiments.
Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
