Rosso del Pievano is produced with grapes coming from the oldest vines of the estate, in fact the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are over 70 years old.

Rosso del Pievano IGT Toscana blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
Type of Land
Soil of sedimentary origin composed of marly calcareous clays. Among the prevalent types we find Chianti alberese, sandstone, clay, and other schists such as galestro.
Vinification, Maturation, Evolution and Refinement
After the manual harvesting of the grapes, it is vinified in concrete vats. It is subsequently left to rest for over 24 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux, before being subjected to at least 24 months of refinement in the bottle before being sold.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Intense ruby red.
Nose: It surprises the nose with its balsamic, fresh notes that combine with the hint of grilled pepper, then assorted berries, such as currants and blueberries.
Taste: Pleasant on the palate, of good weight, soft, with light and hinted tannins, for a tasty and enjoyable finish.

14.0% vol.
Gastronomic pairings
It goes particularly well with roasted meat dishes, game, mature cheeses and intensely flavored sausages, braised meats and stuffed pasta, elaborate ethnic dishes, dishes with rich and tasty sauces, delicately spiced.
Uncork and decant the bottle one hour before and serve at a temperature of 18°C.
